Woodside is the area of Queens, New York that I grew up in. I have named this cowl pattern after it.

Please note that this pattern has not been tested by others. If you have any concerns or find any mistakes, please contact me and I will make the corrections.

********** Update November 18, 2014************

Update includes a repeat of rounds 1-3 after two repeats of the pattern is completed.

The cowl is knit using two strands of worsted weight yarn held together throughout. Any chunky or bulky weight wool may be substituted for knitting with one strand.

Yardage needed for chunky / bulky weight wool: About 210 yards.

24 stitches of the stitch pattern repeat measured 5 3/4” before blocking. If you your stitch pattern is coming out bigger, you’re knitting at a looser gauge. Consider going down a needle size or make sure you have enough yarn to finish the project.

I had very little yarn left when I finished my cowl.

Happy Knitting!
