This lightweight triangular shawl incorporates a bobble lace stitch that comes to us from Japan. It is knit top down, and the stitches cause a pretty and delicate scallop at the neckline. The Bobble edging makes this triangular shawl truly unique. While the shawl looks difficult to knit, it is not hard, and is suitable for Intermediate knitters.
The finished shawl is approximately 86 inches across the top and 33 inches at the deepest point and is knitted out of a light weight fingering yarn.
The stitches are both charted out and written out.
The pattern also contains instructions for how to make Bobbles using the crochet hook method, as well as tassels and edgings.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming some lace experience)
The sample was knit out of Mrs. Crosby Plays in Train Case, in colorway Monkey Orchid. The sample was expertly pattern tested by Avery Atwood, who can be reached at: eochdubh.pooka @gmail.com.
