This sock was inspired by a poem Rudyard Kipling wrote. While I was reading it, I couldn’t help but picture the winding paths - and the two tangled paths of my own life. The path of my past and the path of my present. I chose to include two braided sections in this sock, one for each of my paths in life and a textured top of the sock to resemble the leaves of the trees as you look up into the forest canopy. This pattern is written cuff down but can easily be modified to work as a toe up sock, as well.

Materials
350 - 400 yards (320 - 366 m)/100 grams of Gracelynn Wool Eighty Twenty or other fingering weight yarn
US 1.5 (2.5 mm) DPNs or circular needles in length necessary for preferred method of sock knitting
1 progress keeper and 2 stitch markers
Darning needle for weaving in ends

Finished measurements:
Small: 7 inches (17.8 cm) in circumference, Fits 8 inch (20.3 cm) foot
Medium: 8 inches (20.3 cm) in circumference, Fits 9 inch (22.8 cm) foot
Large: 9 inches (22.9 cm) in circumference, Fits 10 inch (25.4 cm) foot

Gauge:
8 sts and 11 rows in stockinette stitch = 1” (2.5 cm)
