The yarn amount is a guesstimate. I had less than a skein of brown and I didn’t use it all. I did include a little photo tutorial of how I made the loop stitches, and I hope that helps if you have never done a loop stitch before.

If you are new at the crochet arts I will say in my best Obi Wan voice, “move along, this is not the pattern you are looking for,” because this is a little more complicated than a simple sc/dc item.
