Make a small, casual and soft beret simply by stockinette stitch with tight worsted yarn or tight summer yarn held double.
The decrease stitches on the top are randomized to create a flat design with no streaks.
If you like, you can put a size tape for the hat on the inside to make it easier to wear.

Wool Beret
Yarn ; Daruma Classic Tweed 1½ skeins (82.5m/90yd/55g) or other Worsted weight yarn.
Needle ; US 8 (5.0mm) circulars or dpns
Gauge ; 15 sts & 20 rnds = 10cm/4” in St st
size ; 54cm/21.25”
Materials ; a size tape for the hat , 13 stitch markers

Cotton Beret
Yarn ; Puppy yarn Cotton Kona 2skeins(220m/240yd/80g)
or other sport weight yarn. (Use double)
Needle ; 4.2mm(JPN#7 US#6-7)
Gauge ; 20sts 26rows = 10cm/4” in stockinette stitch
(with yarn held double)

小ぶりでカジュアルなベレー帽を、一番シンプルなメリヤス編みで作ります。
かわいいネップ入りで張りのある極太ウール糸、または張りのある夏糸を2本取りににして編む、柔らかい帽子です。
トップの減目箇所をランダムにして、筋がないぺったんこなデザインにしました。
お好みで内側に帽子用サイズテープをつけると、よりかぶりやすくなります。
