PLEASE NOTE This is a digital download and not the finished product.

A chunky knitted sweater with heart design made using intarsia or duplicate stitch.

Made on 12 mm needles with Lauren Aston Designs Super Chunky Merino (or similar).

The pattern includes instructions for two collar and sleeve styles. Designed to be oversized.

Sizes :
XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (2XL), 3XL

The sweater is designed to be oversized with ~ 8 cm of positive ease but how oversized you want it is entirely up to you.
a) Length – 47, (47), 50, (50), 50, (53), 53 cm
b) Chest (measured across your bust) - 100, (110), 120, (130), 140, (150) 160 cm
As this sweater is constructed flat and sewn together, it’s very easy to adjust the length of your sweater to fit you. If you’re a size 3 XL but 5ft tall for example, you might want to make it shorter. Before you start, just check the position of the hearts and adjust accordingly.

1) Cast on
2) Knit
3) Purl
4) Intarsia (or duplicate stitch)
5) Cast off
6) Picking up stitches for the collar (optional)
7) Mattress stitch for seaming
8) Broken rib stitch. This is a two row stitch repeat.
Row 1: Knit all stitches
Row 2: Purl one stitch, knit one stitch (repeat until end of row).

12 mm needles – circular needles are required if you want a collar but if you opt for the boat neck collar just using straight needles is fine.
