Many thanks to Soie et Laine for supporting me.

When I had this wonderfully light yarn in my hands for the first time, I wanted to make something out of it that would wrap around me like a scarf or a cardigan and envelop me in a warm and woolly hug.

The result is a cardigan that begins in its construction like a scarf. I.e. the instructions start at the back in the middle of the back yoke.
First you knit a straight piece, like a scarf that nestles over the shoulder and then merges into the front parts. For a better fit of the shoulders short rows are worked at the back. At the point where the “scarf” is long enough to cover the whole yoke with the armholes, stitches for the back are picked up along the lower edge and the body is knitted to the desired length. Slots for the belt are worked in at the height of the hips on either side. Then the belt is knitted and if desired, sleeves can be added.
