Choose one color of DK weight wool to knit this textured cardigan. This design begins at the top with a ribbed collar. Increases form the raglan yoke shaping as you knit toward the body of the cardigan. The waffle rib texture is easy and relaxing to knit, making this garment ideal for beginner knitters. Instructions include video tutorial links to assist with the various techniques like casting on, working the I-cord bind off, and making the buttonband. The length of the yoke, body, and sleeves is easy to customize as you try on the top-down garment while you knit. I featured West Wool Tandem for this project for a super soft merino wool fabric with plush drape. This non-superwash wool produces a lofty fabric with crisp stitch definition for the woolly waffle texture.

Sizes

For a relaxed style, I recommend selecting a size that is
approximately 2 – 4″ / 5 – 10cm larger than your chest

relaxed fit, select a size that is 5 – 8″ / 13 – 20cm larger than
your chest circumference.

Yoke, sleeve, and body lengths are customizable.
