ABOUT
Woolweft Vest uses mosaic knitting to create transitions between 4 colours. The vest is worked top down, beginning by casting on for the back of the neck, then increasing along the upper back. Stitches are picked up for each shoulder, and neckline shaped. After underarm shaping, the vest is joined in the round for the remainder of the body. There are three different body length options with instructions & yardage included for each. This vest is a great learning opportunity for mosaic knitting (which is really just slipping stitches!), as you will practice mosaic flat & in the round.

EASE
This vest is designed to fit over a shirt, or even a sweater! The arm opening is deeper than it would usually be on a sweater, to accommodate a garment underneath. Consider what you might like to wear under it when choosing a size. If you know you like to wear lots of layers, consider a size with more positive ease.

This vest can fit however you like! I knit the sample to fit the intended wearer with 0 - 4 inches of positive ease. When selecting a size, I would encourage you to think about how you like things to fit your own body. If you like a closer-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with -2 to 0 inches of negative ease. If you like a looser-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with 2 or more inches of positive ease.

Your yardage will depend on your gauge, size and yarn chosen. These are estimates based on testing.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
use size needed to obtain gauge, these are the sizes I was able to obtain gauge with:

MAIN FABRIC: 4.5mm circular needles, 32 inches / 80 cm or longer.
COLLAR: 4.0mm circular needles, 16 inches / 40 cm for collar

1 marker different than the others to act as a BOR
