Wooly Weekend hat is a gender inclusive beanie available in four sizes to fit baby through large adult. Knit in a worsted to Aran weight yarn, it is a perfect introduction to three-color stranded colorwork and a great scrap buster! Colorwork instructions are both charted and written.

Dimensions: Approximate hat circumference, 16 (18.75, 21.25, 24)” / 40.5 (47.5, 54, 61) cm; approximate height 8 (8.75, 9, 9)” / 20.5 (22, 23, 23) cm

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4) Select a size with 0–2” (0–5 cm) of negative ease.

Yarn and Yardage Requirements: 150 (175, 225, 250) yards / 137 (160, 205, 229) meters total; estimate by color: C1, 50%; C2, 8%; C3 and C4, 15% each; C5, 12%

Tip: When selecting colors, C1, C4 and C5 do not need to have high contrast from each other but should have high contrast from C3. C2 works with high or low contrast.

Needles: Needle A, US 8, 16” (5.0 mm, 40 cm) circular, or whatever needle meets gauge, as well as corresponding Double Pointed Needles (DPNs), Magic Loop length circulars, or preferred method and tools to close crown. Needle B, 16” (40 cm) circular, one to two sizes down from Needle A. Needle C, 16” (40 cm) circular, one size up from Needle A.

Gauge: 18 stitches x 21 rounds in 4” (10 cm) squared, knit in stranded colorwork, in the round, after blocking. Row gauge is less important since height measurements are provided for guidance.

Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle
