Worms in Dirt Scarf
Hey worm friends! This scarf is just seed stitch and i-cord with a slipped stitch edge. The seed stitch allows you to attach worms to both sides of the scarf without puckering.
The weight isn’t important- smaller yarn means smaller worms. Bigger yarn? You guessed it, bigger worms. Heck, if you have some scrap yarn just make a ton of different sized worms. Go crazy with it. Using a slightly fuzzy yarn for my base helped make my dirt look extra dirty.
I used a worsted weight yarn knit on size 5 needles to ensure my seed stitch was rigid enough to support the addition of worms. Whatever needles you would use for the yarn you bought, go one size down.
