Worried Rainbow Caterpillar

I was watching the live action Alice in Wonderland the other day, and I guess the caterpillar, Absolem, crawled into my mind because I had a dream about a rainbow caterpillar. Although this color palette was significantly more chaotic than Absolem’s (who is primarily blue), it was beautiful. I woke up and started writing this pattern! I had this specific image in my head of a rainbow caterpillar with a worried expression and yellow legs and antennae, and I wanted it to come to life.
For those of you that don’t like reading boring stuff (same lol):
- This is a stuffie, so ANY GAUGE.
- I used a 3.75 mm hook, but you should use whatever hook works best for your yarn.
- I used standard acrylic worsted weight yarn from Walmart.
- you don’t need that much yarn for each color, the segments really don’t use that much. Just scraps are fine for the facial embroidery.
MATERIALS:
- yarn colors for each of the body segments (I did rainbow, obvi: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.)
- a yarn color for the antennae and legs (I did yellow)
- Yarn color for facial embroidery of eyelids, nose, and cheeks (I did a salmony pink)
- Black yarn to embroider mouth and eyebrows
- 2 safety eyes in any size (The bigger the better, it’s a bug. Give it buggy eyes)
