INTRODUCTION
If you have ribbon yarn you’re wanting to use up, look no further. I knit this piece using two strands of yarn. The pattern creates a braided, or chain-like look to it, so it also works for bracelets, chokers… even cowls!

YOU WILL NEED
1 skein of ribbon yarn (Katia Venecia Ribbon Yarn, Adriafil Tender work well)
A pair of 6.5 mm (U.S. 10 ½) needles
A tapestry needle to weave in tails
A button with a large sew-in hole for clasping

SKILLS
Working with doubled-up yarn.
The cable cast-on technique: https://bit.ly/2wcr0SY
A basic macrame stitch (optional): https://bit.ly/2w7YAtn

ABBREVIATIONS
K=Knit, P=Purl, SL1P= slip one stitch in purl, K2TOG= knit two stitches together, P2TOG= purl two stitches together, YFWD= yarn forward (refer to this video: https://bit.ly/2Mhl7Pw)

GETTING STARTED
Since you’ll be working with doubled-up yarn, make sure you have a 30 to 34-foot tail for a headpiece, 20 to 24 feet for a choker, and 16 to 18 feet for a bracelet.
Make a slipknot then cast on 3 additional st/s using the cable cast-on (4 total).
Tip: I find it helpful to work with a yarn bowl or some kind of container to prevent the ribbon yarn from tangling.
