Worsted Kodiak
This cowl is an updated version of my classic kodiak cowl, now knit with cozy worsted weight yarn. Learn the art of brioche knitting with this simple, beginner-friendly pattern, complete with a free step-by-step video tutorial. The pattern offers two sizes, but can easily be adapted to create a custom fit of any size you desire.
SIZING
2 sizes: Small (Regular).
- Neck Circumference: 24.75 (27.5) inches, {63 (70) cm}.
- Length: 9 inches, {23 cm} for both sizes.
Note 1: Sample is size 2 (regular).
Note 2: For a larger circumference, cast on additional stitches in multiples of 2. For the invisible join in the round cast on an odd # sts.
YARN
Worsted / Medium #4 - any that matches gauge.
- CA = 105 (110) yards, {96 (101) meters}.
- CB = 95 (105) yards, {87 (96) meters}.
Sample in the photo uses:
De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (100% Merino Woolen - 270 yds {247 m}/100g) in Caramel (CA) and Fusain (CB).
Yardage is based off this yarn.
Sample in the video tutorial uses:
CA = Big Twist Value (100% Acrylic - 380 yards {347 m}/170g) in Olive Green.
CB = I Love This Yarn (100% Acrylic - 355 yards {325 m}/198g) in Latte.

US 10 {6.0 mm} circular needles in 16” {40 cm} length.
