Worth Every Penny TITR
Worth Every Penny is a hexagonal, TITR (Tunisian in the Round) baby blanket, constructed centre out in one piece, suitable for competent Tunisian crochet beginners. It is my first “Stitch it Your Way, One Pattern, Infinite Possibilities” design. Options include a design with sheep and/or elephant graphics and a selection of “alternate endings”. “Endings” include complete charts for circling the blanket with the letters of the alphabet, using elephants and/or sheep in each corner.
TITR techniques using double- ended hooks are an absolute game changer. It is the best technique in crochet for lettering, graphics and mosaic designs with no yarn stranding or carries. You will learn how start a TITR hexagon, read colour coded stitch charts (trust me, much easier than following round by round written instructions). I have included many hints on how to avoid yarn tangles, fix mistakes (it happens) and will guide you to success. I’ve been exploring TITR (Tunisian in the Round) for more than 7 years, created the method for charting designs, completed more than 300 projects and it has been a continuous learning, and refining techniques process. I’ve taught hundreds of ultimately successful students, some beginners to Tunisian crochet, and received rave reviews for well written patterns.
I believe this was the first hexagonal TITR pattern available in the world, published in February 2020. I literally wrote the book on TITR, “Learn Tunisian Crochet in the Round”, published by Annies in 2021 and a TITR supplement in Simply Crochet Issue 118. I have won numerous CGOA design awards and my patterns are regularly published in Crochet World and Simply Crochet.
