The Woven Basketweave Baby Blanket is a beautiful baby blanket, for knitters who enjoy simple knits and purls, with impressive results!

Finished size is approximately 24” x 32”.

The blanket is knit seamlessly, using worsted weight yarn in a plush woven basketweave stitch pattern.

The garter stitch edges are knit along with the blanket, so there is no finishing required (other than weaving in ends, and blocking).
Circular needles are required to accommodate the width of the blanket.

Materials include 600 yds worsted weight yarn, and size 5 and 7 circular needles (24-32” length).

Recommended gauge is 4.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit in a textured stitch pattern, gauge is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in determining appropriate sized needles.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like. Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Skills required include casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.
