This is a pdf knitting pattern, written in English and using standard US terminology, for you to knit a worsted weight ‘Woven Bonnet’ photo prop.

This knitting pattern contains instructions to work the Woven Bonnet up in 5 sizes: newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, and 9-12 months.

The completed Woven Bonnet is a photo prop to be used with supervision in newborn and sitter photography sessions. If you would like me to knit one for you, please message me.

This pattern is well-suited to a beginner knitter, as this bonnet is knit flat and then seamed. It is worked up using medium worsted weight yarn on 5mm (US8) needles.

You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, and knit two stitches together. You will need to know how to crochet if you choose to crochet the bonnet ties. Or, you can use sari silk, velvet, or chiffon ribbon.

My gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows is 10x10 cms.
