The Woven Waves Beach Dress is an intermediate pattern and the perfect cover-up with lots of texture and quick to work up stitch repeats! This dress is a combination of made to measure and specific directions. The top is made using the basketweave stitch and a specific gauge and stitch counts will be given, however there is freedom in select details such as strap width and how long the top is made to fit the torso.

The skirt is then crocheted directly onto the top, there is virtually no seaming in this pattern! The skirt section is more recipe style, as you can increase as much or as little as you want to fit your body and for the style you want to achieve (ex: fitted vs. flare). The skirt can also be made as long as you’d like!

Yardage Estimates based on bust size and making a midi length dress. If making the top portion longer (for example, to the hips rather than natural waist), it will increase the yardage a lot more as the basketweave “eats” more yarn than the lace repeat of the skirt.
