Materials and Tools

One skein light or size 3 yarn, any color ( I used Loops and Threads Sugarspun in Cloudy)
One skein lace weight 1 mohair yarn in complementary color if desired ( I used Knit Picks Aloft in Silver)
3.5 mm US size 4 double pointed knitting needles
3.5mm US size 4 standard or circular needles
Embroidery needle
2 Buttons, snaps or velcro circles if desired

Abbreviations

K- knit
P- purl
St(s)- stitch(es)
YO- yarn over
Sl or sl st- slip stitch knit wise
K2tog- knit 2 together
p2tog - purl 2 together
Skpo- slip st knit wise, k next stitch, pass the slipped st over
M1L- make one left
M1R- make one right
Kfb- knit front and back loops ( this is an increase)
CCO- cable cast on
PM- place marker
W&T- wrap and turn; yarn forward, slip next stitch from side needle onto toe needle
