This pattern is available for free.

The hat is worked in the round from the brim to the crown.

To adjust the height of the hat, work fewer or more repeats in knit 2, purl 2 rib after the cluster stitch section. The Shape Crown section adds approximately 6.5 (7.25, 8.75) cm 2.5 (3, 3.5)” to the total height.

To adjust the length of the mitts, work fewer or more repeats in established rib pattern: either before the cluster stitch section to change the cuff length, or after the cluster stitch section to change the hand length at the top.

Due to the nature of the overall ribbing pattern, the fabric is rather stretchy. When blocking the hat and mitts, do not block too aggressively to maintain the elasticity of the pattern.

The pattern uses the term ‘work as set.’ This means, work all stitches as they appear in established pattern: knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.
