Wrap me in a Crochet Rainbow
Wrap me in a Rainbow has had a crochet makeover! Originally a knitted shawl pattern, I’m excited to now offer it as a crochet pattern too! This shawl is a celebration of colour; you may choose to use the suggested colours in Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, or perhaps this is a perfect project to use up a rainbow of yarn minis leftover in your stash from previous makes! Each rainbow stripe uses only 6g of DK yarn so even the tiniest yarn leftovers in your stash might be enough!
The asymmetrical shape is crocheted flat back and forth with simple increases and decreases on each side, so the pattern is rated suitable for intermediate knitters or adventurous beginners.
The pattern uses UK crochet terms.
The finished shawl measures a generous 75 inches (over 6ft!) from tip to tip, and is 18 inches deep.
Please be aware that if you work to a different gauge, or use yarn with different yardage (such as hand dyed yarn) you may need more yarn than is specified.
YOU WILL NEED
Paintbox Yarns Simply DK (276m/302yds per 100g, 100% Acrylic) or any DK weight yarn with similar yardage
170g of main colour
6g each of 10 additional contrast colours for the rainbow stripes
