Gauge/Measurements:
Gauge is not important and will vary based on the yarn, hook, and desired size of project.
For my example, I made a shawl using Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in Felicity and a 6mm (J) hook with a finished measurement of approximately 60” x 15” (not including fringe).

Common Sizes and Measurements:
Baby Blanket 36” x36”
Toddler/Throw Blanket 42” x 52”
Shawl 60” x 15”
