This is a pattern for a knit wrap that is worked from side to side. On one end there is ribbing that makes a loop for the other end to be threaded through when wearing to help hold it in place without a shawl pin. The body of the wrap is an intricate, yet simple lace pattern surrounded by a garter stitch border.

It can be worn as a wrap, around the shoulders, or as a scarf, around the neck. The length of this wrap is 100% customizable for your chosen yardage. The sample was knit using 1000 yards of 100% alpaca yarn from the local alpaca farm. Some test knitters used only 800 yards of fingering weight and the length is still ample enough to go around the shoulders nicely.
