Wrap-Scarf-Stole-Shrug
This pattern makes a… uh… wrap? scarf? stole? shrug? Your result can be any of these garments, or you can add light buttons to make it a convertible wrap-scarf-stole-shrug. It was originally designed as a shrug, but then seemed to make an excellent scarf… and wrap… and stole. The rectangular lace pattern naturally folds at the 1/4 and 3/4 widths to make the sleeves or to stay at scarf-width.
Any fiber or fiber blend should work well with this pattern; the thickness of the yarn will determine the size. To maintain the texture shown, block lightly (if at all). The finished size is 57” long.
Techniques and stitches used: half-twist loop cast on, knit, purl, yarnover, k2tog, ssk, twisted stitch (ktbl), p2tog, ssp, symmetric 3-to-1 decrease (slip, ssk or k2tog, psso), bind off loosely, whipstitch.
