Wraparound mitts
These more-ish mitts tick all the boxes: fun to make, with a fast-moving stitch pattern and quirky shaping; great to wear, as the super-stretchy ribbing combines with bias knitting to hug your hands; and a perfect use for that special skein of handpainted yarn, which will be shown off to great effect by travelling columns of slipped stitches.
Wraparound takes the stitch pattern from my Runaround mitts and moves it in intriguing new directions. This design plays well with any variegated yarn, but is particularly intriguing with yarn that tends to form one-row stripes in a narrow range of colours.
Sizes range from child to large adult, with most using less than 50g of sock yarn.
