My great-grandma gave us crocheted hangers for Christmas one year. It wasn’t until I was older (and wearing clothes that either slipped off my hangers, or got lines in the fabric from sitting on a rigid hanger) that I have appreciated my Grandma Great’s hangers. Now I want to give crocheted hangers as gifts (they’re a quick project, non-cluttery, and useful), so I set out to find a hanger pattern.

I’m a beginning crocheter, so I needed an easy pattern that didn’t require too much reading or learning. There are several great patterns out there for covering hangers, but they weren’t exactly what I was looking for; so I came up with this. I hope you enjoy making it.
