During these last years of the pandemic that have been so difficult and we felt so isolated from our families and friends, the thing I missed the most were the hugs! These tight hugs where we show all our love and tenderness to the people we love. I felt the need to create a beautiful encouraging shawl that represents all these hugs that are about to come and make us so happy again! A shawl that makes us feel JOY! A shawl where we can feel ‘Wrapped in a Hug’ when it wraps us!

Wrapped in a Hug is an asymmetric, one-size shawl that is divided into two parts.

The first part is an easy 2x2 ribbing in the main colour. A beautiful contrast coloured yarn wraps around 6 ribbing stitches and creates smocked ribbing wraps, alternating all around the shawl. The second part, the border, is based on the Chevron Stitch. Three layers of Garter Chevron Stitch give a nice texture to the shawl. A bit before the bind-off, a row of pink bobbles makes the final edge more romantic and elegant.

Por ello sentí la necesidad de crear un hermoso chal de esperanza que represente todos esos abrazos que están por llegar y volver hacernos felices otra vez. ¡Un chal que nos haga sentir ALEGRÍA! ¡ Un chal donde podamos sentirnos “Wrapped in a Hug” cuando nos envuelve!

“Wrapped in a Hug” es un chal asimétrico de talla única que se divide en dos partes.

La primera es un sencillo canalé 2x2 en el color principal. Un bonito hilo de color contraste envuelve 6 puntos elásticos y crea el punto ‘smocked ribbing wraps’, alternándolo alredor del chal.
La segunda parte, el borde, está basado en el punto ‘Chevron’. Tres capas de este punto le dan una textura agradable al chal. Un poco antes del cierre, una pasada de bolitas rosas o amarillas, dependiendo de la versión escogida, hace que el borde final sea más romántico y elegante.
