I designed this shawl for a dear friend who in the span of eleven days suffered the loss of both her younger brother and her grandmother. She is a knitter and fiber enthusiast, so I wanted to create something she could wrap herself in as a tactile reminder of the love and support of her friends and family.

The shawl is knit flat in one piece. Charts are provided for the central patterns, and written directions are provided for the edging.

A portion of the proceeds from this pattern will be donated to the Central Blood Bank in memory of my friend’s brother.
