Wribbit!
Quick, easy, no-shaping, 24-stitch ribbed mittens. These are the mitten variation on my Wrapid Wristers fingerless mitts pattern.
The gauge is approximate. Pretty much anything between 3 and 4 stitches per inch is likely to work. Yardage is approximate. 100g of yarn ought to be about right, though you might want a bit extra if you are making larger mittens or using very bulky yarn that doesn’t have a lot of yardage for its weight. I often use 2 strands of DK to worsted weight yarn, leftovers or oddballs or small batches of handspun.
These mittens are stretchy enough to accommodate the curves of wrists and palms. They are identical to fit either hand. They are reversible if the ends are finished off carefully.
When I made these as a mitten variation on my Wrapid Wristers, I did not realize that there were mittens in the pattern that originally inspired my Wrapid Wristers. Therefore, these are distantly inspired by a Norah Gaughan pattern in the Fall 2002 issue of Interweave Knits.
