These wrist warmers s of done on Straight Needles with a seam up the side, or on 2 circular 24” or a 32” circular or double pointed. Which method of knitting you perfer. The cuff is done in a 1x1 rib with the rest of the wrist warmers in Stockinette Stitch to thumb then 1x1 rib over finders. .
The sizes fit hands measuring across palm from 2.25” to 4”.
You can make the cuff longer or if you have short fingers, use a different amount of knitted rows to make an ideal fit.
They are knitted on 10” straight needles size 6 to make a tighter weave for warmer wrist warmers with worsted weight yarn. Plymouth Encore works nicely because if its fiber content of 75% Acrylic and 25% Wool. Not much else is needed to make the mittens except 2 stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
Most yarns come in 200 or more yards per skein. However some are on 100 yard put ups, So it would be between 1 and 2 skeins depending on the yards per ball.
They look great worked with self striping yarn, tweed or multi colors spun together. Make a matching hat and scarf to complete the look
