Write a Line, Erase a Line is an ode to the music of the Decemberists and to the epic story of Joan of Arc, who sat in her garden and received the visions that inspired her to change her world.

Techniques: basic stitches, puff stitches, dc2tog, dc3tog. Stitch descriptions are provided.

Yarn: You will need approximately 950 yards of sport weight yarn; the sample used Purl SoHo’s Good Wool in the color Hay Field

Hook: Size H/5.0mm or size needed to achieve gauge and a beautiful drape

(Optional) Beads: This pattern uses 496 2/0 seed beads in a color that contrasts against the yarn. If you choose to use them, pre-stringing is necessary. If you don’t want to use them, simply ignore the directions to pre-string the beads and work the pattern as written.

Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors
