Cable Fingerless Mittens (with thumb)
The mittens have a twisting cable with a plain stocking stitch palm and thumb.

MATERIALS
1 100g ball of Cygnet Acrylic Double-knitting wool (pictured in ‘Saxe Blue’)
1 pair of 3.75mm knitting needles and 1 pair of 4mm knitting needles
A tapestry needle
A cable needle (optional) - a 3.75mm knitting needle can be used instead of a cable needle

TENSION
22sts and 30 rows over 10cm Square using 4mm knitting needles and stocking stitch

TECHNIQUES
Cable, Knit and Purl stitches, K1 P1 rib, increasing and decreasing, stretchy rib cast on method (photo-illustrated technique), stocking stitch (knit first row, purl second)
