This hat fits kids to adults.. They are stretchy and can be worn with a cuff turned up, or down and slouchy.

This pattern first appeared in “Marilyn’s Easy Knits” by Marilyn Chapman (1973). My mom adapted the pattern slightly to what it is here. She knit hundreds of these the last few years and donated them to homeless shelters and street ministries.
