Wy'East
Named after the snowy peak and surrounding forests of Wy’East (more commonly known as Mt. Hood), the Wy’East cowl is a lightweight cowl with two complementing snowflake-inspired lace patterns alternated by rows of simple stockinette. The cowl is knit flat, back and forth and then quickly seamed up the back when finished. Or alternatively, you can leave it un-seamed and wear it as a scarf. Knit in a fingering weight wool, Wy’East is very light yet warm, perfect for layering from fall through spring.
Wy’East uses an entire skein of Knit Pick’s Palette fingering weight yarn (231 yrds) for the entire pattern written as is. If you want to make this cowl (or scarf) longer, you will need more yardage.
