Wylch & Wetter HAT
Wylch & Wetter Hat -
Wylch& Wetter hat is made as a completion to earlier Si Sjo Wylch &
Wetter designs: the Sweater and the Shawl.
Inspired by the many waters (Wetter) and willow trees (Wylche), important parts of the Frysian landscape. You’ll find structured stitches in these knitting designs that symbolise the twigs and catkins of the willows and water ripples.
CONSTRUCTION
Wylch & Wetter hat is knitted bottom up. It starts with a tier in ribbing
that will be folded inwards after finishing, The elasticity of the rim willprovide a better and durable fit of the hat.
The second tier is knitted in water rippled stitches, followed by the
structured stitches of twigs and catkins, both according to charts.
The rounding of the hat top is accomplished by working regular decreasions.
