Wyndhurst Hat
Construction: Wyndhurst Hat features an all-over cable pattern that completely encircles the hat. Knit in the round from brim to crown, this pattern takes you step by step through a cabled pattern that is challenging yet works up surprisingly quickly on US 8 knitting needles.
Skill level: Intermediate-Advanced
Skills needed: Knitting in the round, cabling of knit and purl stitches, decreasing by k2tog and ssk.
Size: One Size - Medium Adult
Circumference: 22”
Height: 8 ½”
Gauge: 24 sts and 22 rows per 4” in cabled pattern
Materials:

US 6 (4.25 mm) 16” circular needle or needle two sizes smaller than gauge needle

US 8 (5.00 MM) (or size needed to obtain gauge) 16” circular and US 8 (5.00 mm) double-pointed needles , or needles to work a small circumference in the round

160 yards of worsted weight yarn. Sample shown in Lion Brand Martha Stewart Crafts’ Extra Soft Wool Blend (gray pearl) 1 skein (165 yards), 65% acrylic, 35% wool)
