The “Wyre Woodland Beanie” is a cosy autumnal / winter
beanie hat that is a quick knit up. It’s perfect for wearing
to go for seasonal walks, forest walks, and foraging. It’s also the perfect quick make for stocking fillers or birthdays.

It has a total of 4/5/6 trees depending upon the size
made, and has a beautiful simple rib stitched hem.

The gathering at the crown of the head is evenly
portioned and can eaily have a bobble attached if you
prefer to have them, and it looks perfectly ok without one.

There are 3 size options available; Small, Medium and Large. Pictured is size Large, and it allows it to be worn with a slouch fit to it, or with the extra long ribbing to cover the ears (perfect if you’re prone to ear ache from the cold winds we experience over winter).

There is the option to hold any DK weight yarn with a strand of preferred mohair for that extra cosy feel.

I used 46g of Paintbox DK yarn for size Large, so you might need extra yarn if you want to make a Pom-Pom to go with it.
