If you like stripes and colorplay, this is the sweater for you. Also, those hems are so darn sophisticated.
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn
50(55, 62, 67, 75) yd 46(50, 57, 61, 69) m for the yoke color (yc)
55(60, 67, 72, 82) yd 50(55, 67, 66, 75) m for the main body color (bc)
10(10, 15, 20, 20) yd 9(9, 14, 18, 18) m for the contrasting bottom hem and the contrasting cast on (cc)
25-30 yd 23-27.5 m total for all the stripes colors combined
28(30, 33, 37, 40) yd 26(27.5, 30, 34, 36.5) m each for three arm colors, with a bit more for the final color with the turned hem
approximately 20 yd 18 m for the button bands
additional small amounts of yarn if you want to make the colorwork stripes or Vs different colors
In addition to the yarn, you’ll need 5(5, 5, 6, 6) buttons
Gauge: 5 sts/in. 2.54 cm
Needles: size 7 US 4.5 mm or whatever size you need to get gauge, circular needle for flat knitting and double-pointed needles or a long circular for magic loop
Note - You will either need a needle size smaller to work the hemmed edges (bottom and sleeves) or you can work a set of decreases to mimic a decrease in needle size. Both will be included in the pattern.
Sizes: 3 months(6, 12, 18, 2T), or to fit chest size 16(17, 18, 19, 21) in. 40.6 (43.2, 45.7, 48.3, 53.3) cm
