Xiao He | Seedling Socks
Xiao He socks are worked from the cuff to toe with a Dutch heel and a four-point toe construction. A seedling motif is worked with the stranded colourwork method in the cuff. The heel and toe are made with contrasting colours to make the socks more fun. It is a beginner friendly project, and a video tutorial is provided in my YouTube Channel, Seedling Stitch.
STORY
“Xiao He (小禾)” means “seedling” in Chinese and is also my Chinese name. It has been frequently mispronounced or misspelled since I moved to north America, so that I decided to go with my English name, Athena. Now that I have the platform and ability to properly introduce my name, I’d like to take this opportunity to design a “Xiao He” knitted item so that it can be learned finally.
