A sweet little mouse - just 5 inches tall - the pattern includes trousers and Christmas jumper so that the mouse can join in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day (Charity day - UK). Available to download until the end of January 2024.

This pattern has been designed as a budget make & can be made from scraps of 2-ply & 4-ply yarn. If you don’t have any scrap, you can buy small quantities of yarn such as crewel yarn / mending yarn so you’re not paying for yarn you won’t use – I’ve kept to 2 colours for all of the outfits to help the yarn go as far as possible.

Instructions are written in English for you to make a perfect hand-made present for a child over 3 years old and includes lots of photos & handy hints to help you make your pocket mouse.

The patterns are a ‘next step’ for knitters - the sort of patterns I would have loved to have when I was 8 or 9 - a chance to practice more than knit & purl in quick to finish projects. The jumper is a raglan jumper & the trousers are shaped to fit.

Stitches used & Abbreviations
i-cord. An i-cord is made by keeping the right side facing you and pulling the yarn across the back of the work to create a tube that doesn’t need sewing up - there are instructions in the pattern.

K – Knit
K2tog/ K3tog – Knit 2 together/ knit 3 together
