These DK weight socks are perfect boot socks for winter! The ribbing makes them stretchy enough to fit a wide variety of feet, and the heel is reinforced on the bottom to prevent holes.

The width fits an average sized foot and length is adjustable.
The pattern is written for 4 DPNs but can be easily adjusted for magic loop.

Please contact me if you have any questions, and consider making a project page if you make these socks. I’d love to see how they turn out!

These came to be after my husband recently asked me to make him boot socks. Since he wears through his heels pretty quickly, I wanted to make the bottoms of the heels reinforced, rather than the back of the heel like is common in a lot of socks. He often ends his texts with “xoxo” so I thought the cable pattern was appropriate.
