Knitting is…LOVE! This XOXO beanie (#xoxobeanie) is the perfect way to enjoy this feeling. This hat, tied up with a silky ribbon, chocolates and conversation hearts, is a perfect gift to yourself, or someone you love. This is an intermediate (or adventurous “advanced-beginner”) knitting pattern for the yarn-aholic who loves chunky, squishy, soft cables and a bit of stylish slouch. Don’t forget the furry pom pom too!

This hat will fit an average size woman’s head and is slightly slouchy, knit in the round with X and O cables. The pattern will provide you standard american written instructions and a simple chart to complete the hat.

The featured hat is knit with two strands of yarn together but can also use a heavier weight yarn for a single-stranded method. The pattern calls for a double strand of worsted weight “fluffy” yarn. Please note that the yarn featured in this hat (wonderfluff or drops air) is classified as a size 5 bulky yarn, but in person, it feels comparable to a worsted weight yarn (hence the reason the pattern calls for worsted).

Designer tip: Treat yourself to a soft, luscious, fluffy, puffy, yummy yarn. Stiff, thick yarn is not recommended :)

This pattern was tested by a group of amazing knitters, at all levels, using all types of yarn.
