This is my first ever sock design and I had so much fun throughout the process. I was inspired by the way you always see police put crime scene tape up for this pattern, which is where the X’s come from. This pattern is super fun to use for wild colored yarn because the texture still shows up while also being able to see the color.

The pattern is written for a contrasting colored cuff and toe, but change it up however you’d like! These socks are worked cuff down with a German short row heel. There are both written directions as well as charts for each size.

The instructions are written to accommodate the magic loop method but are easily worked using double-pointed-needles if preferred!
