Xuemei is my mother’s first name. I made this sweater for her as a gift. The pattern is designed by myself and I would share the design for free to honor her name. It is also the first pattern designed by myself, as an amateur knitter. I hope you enjoy the pattern and feel free to reach me out for improvement suggestions.

Xuemei sweater is knitted with Icelandic yarns top down seamlessly, with side splits where the back piece is longer than the front, to add a feminine feature and help identify the front and back side of the sweater, because no short-row tech is applied. The sleeved are shaped by decreasing stitches and long hems, to create an elegant visual.

Size
One size, roughly loose fit for EU 32-34, snug fit for EU 36. The following figures are measured after blocking:

• Widest circumference in the yoke is 142 cm
• The chest circumference is 92 cm
• The collar circumference is 46 cm
• Distance from the collar to the armpit is 26 cm
• Widest circumference of the sleeve is 34 cm
• The length of the sleeve and body is adjustable according to your preference, in the model that I knitted:
  • The front-piece measures 31 cm from the armpit to the hem
  • The back-piece measures 36 cm from the armpit to the hem

Yarns

• Lettlopi 0051 White: 2 balls
• Lettlopi 1406 Spring Green: 1.5 balls
• Lettllopi 9432 Lagoon (dark green): 7 balls

Needles

• 4mm circular needles for the yoke and main body
• 3mm circular / double pointed needles for the neck and sleeve hems

Gauge

• 10×10 cm (except the neck and sleeve hems with 3mm needles)
• 18 stitches and 24 rows
