Wait, before you read on, pause and have a closer look! Guess how it is knit. Where do you cast on? Where do you cast off?

I love working out a different shape mentally, drawing and knitting it in my mind and wondering how it will knit up. This is one of the very few that make it past schematics!

This pattern includes six sizes: 31 (35, 39, 43, 47, 51)
around the bust. As it happens, the shaping gives a bit of extra ease over the bust, so it is perfect for those who are a bit bigger up top.
You will need 7 (8, 9, 11, 12, 13) balls in Main Color, 1 each in Contrast Colors (I used two contrast colors, but if you only use one color, you will still need only one ball of the contrast color)

This is a perfect pattern for your favorite indy yarn: the unique shaping will twist up slubbiness, multi color stripes, or kettle dyed unevenness.
I suppose you might still be wondering how it works? I won’t give away all the secrets here, but I will let you in on this: the only stitches to be cast on are at the wrists. Most of it is worked in the round, but there is some back and forth near the end. You will find yourself grafting about 15 stitches, and a little section of short rows. The pattern includes both a schematic of the dimensions, and a schematic with arrows to illustrate what is going on.

Errata: In the sleeve, you will need one more increase round. sizes xs-med, place that increase round at the top of the sleeve. sizes lg-2x, place that increase round near the wrist between two increase rounds.
