Yak Squares is a cozy shawl with a contemporary graphic design, which is also a lot of fun to knit.

This shawl is a modular construction, starting with the center lozenge made from 9 squares. The squares are seamlessly assembled, using a technique that makes for a very clean backside of the shawl. The two “wings” are added to create the triangular shape.

The patterns is in written form only, the stitch pattern requiring no charts.

Carrés de yak est un châle doux avec un graphisme intemporel, qui est aussi amusant à tricoter.

Construit de manière modulaire, ce modèle commence par le losange central, composé par 9 carrés. Les carrés sont assemblés sans couture, avec une technique qui permet d’obtenir un envers très propre. Ensuite, les deux “ailes” sont ajoutés pour donner au châle sa forme triangulaire.

Les explications sont données entièrement par écrit, le point ne nécessitant pas l’emploi de grilles.

Med dessa Jakullsrutor har EclatDuSoleil skapat en mjuk sjal med ett tidlöst grafiskt mönster, som dessutom är rolig att sticka.

Uppbyggd av moduler, även kallade dominorutor, börjar modellen med en romb i mitten som består av 9 rutor. Rutorna fogas samman utan sömmar, med en teknik som ger en snygg finish även på avigsidan. Därefter läggs de två “vingarna” till för att ge sjalen dess triangelform.

Mönstret är helt och hållet textbaserat, eftersom inga diagram behövs för den enkla rätstickningen.
