Inspired by moon light shines on the sea surface; Yakamoz mimics these sparkles with interrupted Garter ridges by slip stitches, and serves a triangular shawl. Yakamoz is the Turkish word for these sparkles on the sea.

Materials: Spiral Grain Sport, 2 skeins for each color, shown in Blue Spruce as C1 & Elderberry as C2

Dimensions: 59”/150 cm sloped edge, 43”/109 cm straight edge, 39.5”/100 cm bind off edge

Needle: US 4 / 3.50 mm circular or straight needles (any length to accommodate stitches); or size needed to obtain gauge

Notions: Tapestry needle

Gauge: 27 sts x 48 rows in charted Mosaic pattern = 4”/ 10 cm square, wet blocked

Skill level: Easy

Techniques: Mosaic knitting, I-cord edges, 2-color I-cord bind off

Construction Notes:
Yakamoz is a triangular shawl that starts from the tip with a small number of stitches and expands with increases on the left edge in all RS rows.

A Mosaic pattern is worked through the shawl until the last section; Garter ridge colors alternate in each section and a 2-color I-cord border is worked all around the edges.
