The Yakan Cowl is a double fabric, stranded colourwork cowl. It features the Compass motif found in Traditional Philippine Tattoos.
This Cowl represents the southern iteration of the motif (See the Pinilian Cowl for the Northern counterpart).

The pattern is written for a small (29”) and a large cowl (40”) using DK weight yarns in 2 contrasting colours.

NEEDLES
3.5mm for the inner fabric
3.75mm for the colourwork
40cm/16” Circular needles or larger, DPNS as needed

GAUGE
22 sts, 30 rows = 10cm/4”
Using 3.75mm Needles on a blocked colourwork swatch, or needle size to obtain gauge
