This pattern works up really fast once you get the rhythm down. It would work with any yarn and any weight, although I think it would look nice with lighter weight yarns vs bulky.

It’s meant to fit loosely, you can adjust the size up or down fairly easy by casting on less or doing fewer rows. It’s basically just two rectangles and the hard work is in the stitch.
