Yank
by Amy Maxwell
Yank is a little security blanket, so named because “yank” was the word my little brother used for his “blanky” when we were kids. Although his was a roughed up quilt, I wanted to create a soft, squishy crocheted version for my incoming baby girl.
I used Caron Simply Soft Light because I had some around and it’s suitably soft, but I recommend any soft/silky (and durable/washable) sport or DK weight yarn that will make a nice cuddly companion for your beloved recipient.
This pattern is written to create a little 17” X 18.5” blanket (8 X 10 squares) but notes are given to create any size you prefer.
